Two good resolutions for the new year: Treat scars early enough and long enough

When exactly is the right time to start scar treatment? And how long do I have to treat a scar? If you ask yourself these questions, you are not alone: many people are unsure about this.

Market research* shows that most people surveyed only begin scar treatment with Contractubex® when the scar has already formed and is clearly visible. Only 14% of patients begin treatment at the right time – as soon as the wound has closed or the stitches have been removed.

Patients seem to have little endurance when it comes to maintaining treatment. After 1 to 2 months, most people stop treating their scars, which can lead to a poorer result. Only 19% of patients continue the treatment period recommended by doctors of at least 3 to 6 months for long enough.

Patience really pays off when treating scars. The best possible results are achieved by using Contractubex® early enough and long enough: a nearly invisible scar.

Two simple resolutions will ensure successful treatment:

Resolution 1: Use Contractubex® as soon as the wound has closed or the stitches have been removed.

Resolution 2: Use Contractubex® 2 to 3 times a day for at least 3 to 6 months.

The treatment card helps you to remember when you started your scar treatment and how long you should continue it. Enter the start date and end date of the treatment depending on whether you have a fresh or old scar. Simply download the file, print it, cut it out and e.g. keep it in your wallet as a reminder.
