Work accidents: What to watch out for

There are around 270 million work accidents worldwide every year. Many of these accidents could be prevented if the work safety rules were observed. So what can you do to prevent injuries at work?

Observe safety regulations

Work accidents do not only affect high-risk professions such as roofers or miners, they also happen at the office. Trusting your own intelligence is good, but sticking to safety instructions is always better.

In some jobs safety shoes and helmets are obligatory, however not if you work in an office. But here you should also watch out for possible sources of injury, such as tripping over stray cables, or freshly-cleaned and slippery floors.

Recovery is the most important thing

If you have been injured, the most important thing is to recover properly and completely. With smaller injuries this is usually not a problem. After more severe accidents more patience may be required. With larger wounds and operation scars, remember to start the follow-up care with Contractubex® at the right time. This prevents the formation of an ugly scar, and your injury is soon forgotten.
