Cuts or lacerations

Contractubex® as standard care for everyday injuries

Cuts and lacerations are among the most common injuries of everyday life and are not dangerous in most cases.

Cuts are caused by sharp, smooth objects. This may be a knife or a broken glass or the sharp edge of a piece of paper. A cut usually passes through all layers of the skin and leads to a deep wound.

Lacerations are caused by blunt force, such as during a fall or if you hit something. They mainly involve regions of the body where the skin lies directly on the bone, such as on the skull, knee or shin.

Depending on the location and size of the injury, it is sufficient to clean the wound and cover it with a bandage. If the wound pulls apart, it may have to be stapled or sutured.

Contractubex® for aftercare

After the first treatment, the wound needs a few days to heal. Once the wound edges have closed, aftertreatment with Contractubex® should begin in order to ensure optimal scar formation.

Contractubex® should not be missing from any medicine cabinet so that even small, everyday wounds leave no unsightly scars.
